Dr Emelie Fahey
She / Her
I’m Emelie and I love being a psychologist. I’m passionate about understanding children and young people’s strengths and challenges, to explore together what might help them to live their most authentic lives. I take a holistic approach to understanding individuals and their environment.
Since completing a Doctorate of Educational and Developmental Psychology at the University of Melbourne, I have had over a decade of experience working as a psychologist with children and young people. I am very familiar with school systems, having worked in primary, secondary and specialist school settings. I write tailored reports to meet the needs of individuals along with the adults supporting them at home, school and in the community.
I am passionate about providing assessment and support to neurodivergent children and adolescents, to give them the understanding of how their brain works and affirming supports that may be helpful. This also includes helping families to understand different types of neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc.).
I am an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Psychology Board approved supervisor, available to supervise other psychologists.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family, baking and painting.
